My Day with Love...
It's been a long, emotional and tiring day. What started out as a heart-wrenching and devastating experience has turned into a day filled with love, tears, understanding and the reinforced realization of why I do what I do. Love is being loved and that's all that matters right now. Thank you to all who sent messages, called, texted, posted etc. She is one very special little girl and she will be given the world! Special thanks to some of her "aunts": my good friend Kim for fostering her and loving her and making her a part of her family as only she knows how :), Stephanie for her encouragement and caring and the extra push for Love, Ashley and Jaclyn for bringing Love her personal little picnic in the park, Jeniffer for your constant words of comfort and encouragement...and a special thanks to the Urgent Part 2 family your support means a whole lot, especially during those moments of panic where we weren't sure of her status!!I'm sure I'm leaving others out and I'm sorry, lol I'm just tired and have a migraine from crying!! This has been a memorable day for me and I have not one regret of taking this little girl in. What she's been deprived of her whole life will be made up for quickly! It's the least we can do, and she's owed that much. I hope all you wonderful moms had a great Mother's Day and I'm sorry I didn't get to message you all personally, but I was busy playing Mommy to one special little girl who has stolen a piece of my heart and soul!I beg you all to PLEASE share her story far and wide, far too many animals are being found in this condition and are being neglected after falling in the wrong hands. Love is a cruelty case and my fingers are crossed that her "owner" is brought to justice!Until then she will be in the care of FFLI, donations toward her care would be extremely helpful, chipin in link can be found below. Who is Love?
Love is a sweet old soul who was found as a stray. But she isn't any "old" stray, she is a one who was found to be in deplorable conditions. She is emaciated, has open wounds, a mass on her jaw...and that is ONLY what one could see on the outside. There's no telling what could possibly be going on internally. She is a cruelty case who will be coming to FFLI. Though it obviously seems that her prognosis is poor, we will do what we can to keep her comfortable, give her love and treat what we can in her final days. We are hoping for a miracle, though the chances might be slim. But we are hopeful that this girl will make somewhat of a turn around with the right amount of TLC, love and affection, good meals and some friends and family who care! Though we don't know how much time we have with Love, we will make every moment count for this girl, and we will cherish every minute she is with us. Please consider donating toward her care, she deserves to have the same opportunity at a second chance. Thank you!
